MY WORK

This 9-part series captures memories of days Selina spent travelling and enjoying food around the world with her husband, Haggis, and after his death, with their daughter. In these paintings, colour and joy is intertwined with the tragic reality of terminal illness, conjuring a celebration of life and love.

This series of 24 paintings was  inspired by Hogarth’s narrative series and is a story of the troubled, bohemian, often violent and alcoholic lifestyle of a family of three, set in a Georgian house in Kennington, South London.

The Wall of Food is a series of paintings dealing with the cross-cultural  juxtapositions of foods from various countries. It was exhibited with Kittoe Contemporary.

The Indian series was inspired by the heady mix of exotic scented flowers, rich textiles, spices and food offerings and 1950’s & 1960’s European iconic baby graphics in Kerala and Tamil Nadu in South India.
